Hello there everyone! Sam here!
Time for list number two in my one list a week challenge! This week's list...
places I want to travel to! This list will be not only for cities, states, and countries, but specific places as well. Most of these places I've never been to, but some will also be places that I would love to see again. Though there are many more places I could add, I think I'd better stop now before this gets any longer! Hopefully someday I'll see them all and I hope you all get to see the places you want to go too! Remember: it's not where you're going, but who you're going with that makes it that much more special. Happy trails to all of us!

One list a week...
Hello, Hello! Sam here!
As you all know from my first post I am a girl who loves making lists. All kinds of lists. And recently I have stumbled upon a few other bloggers who love lists as well, so much so that one of them has decided to write one list a week for 52 weeks. That's one list a week for a whole year! Check out her lists here. I absolutely love this idea and though I may be a bit late to the game I have decided to take part in this challenge and write one list a week for the rest of the year. The lists will be different each time; some silly, some serious, some fun. And each will vary in length depending on whatever the list is about. I am hoping that by making these lists it will help to encourage me to do and see and live more, so that I can check off each item as I go. Wish me luck! And good luck to those of you making your own lists!
So here goes nothing. My first list. This one isn't a checklist, but a list nonetheless. I'll work my way up, don't worry.
My Favorite Books (in no particular order and as of right now)
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
- The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
- My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares
- The Hunger Games (trilogy) by Suzanne Collins
- Paper Towns by John Green
- Looking For Alaska by John Green
- The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
- If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
- Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
- The Lorax by Dr. Seuss
- Scribbler of Dreams - by Mary E. Pearson
- The Truth About Forever (and basically any other book) by Sarah Dessen
- The Last Summer (Of You and Me) by Ann Brashares
- The Summer I Turned Pretty (trilogy) by Jenny Han
- Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
- The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
- Basically any book written by Deb Caletti, but especially The Nature of Jade
- The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
- Die For Me (trilogy) by Amy Plum
- Fallen (series) by Lauren Kate
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (series) by Ann Brashares
A very long list that was, but you have no idea how many more books I wanted to include. I hate to leave absolutely anything off, but 25 seems like a good place to stop. So there it is, 25 of my most favorite books of all time. I'm sure within the next month I'll be adding a few more seeing as my "to read" list is almost never ending, but as of now this is where I am. If there are any books on the list you haven't read yet I suggest you get on it. NOW! 'Til then, have fun with your own lists my friends, and let's get to checking things off!

Stop and smell the...Magnolias
Hello, friends! Sam here.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been a busy week! And I'm in for another busy week coming up! Ugh. I just have to keep reminding myself, summer is coming, summer is almost here, summer is just around the corner. It's my new mantra. And luckily the weather is starting to agree with me because it has been beautiful this weekend! Here's the proof...

I just have to keep reminding myself, summer is coming, summer is almost here, summer is just around the corner. It's my new mantra. And luckily the weather is starting to agree with me because it has been beautiful this weekend! Here's the proof...
See that?! Blue Skies!
Our Bradford Pear tree is finally blooming! Too bad it smells like the monkey house at the zoo and is covered in bees. Oh well, at least it's pretty outside my window...
The Magnolia tree is blooming as well and it smells lovely!
Sunshine!
Going barefoot! All day, erryday!
Charlie soaking up some vitamin D.
Went for a drive today with the sisters. Love to see that open road.
The sisters playing with my camera...
Before you say anything about not paying attention to the road, we were at a stop sign mom...Rockin' my favorite shades with the sun roof open!
Here's hoping that these next few weeks of school go by fast so I can have more days like today! And more things to blog about! Hope everyone has a wonderful week and enjoys the nice weather!

I jump, therefore I am...
Hello, Hello there everyone! Sam here!
This weekend my mom and middle sister are on a school trip, so it's just been my dad, my little sister, and me. And what do we do when it's a beautiful day outside? We jump of course.

Excuse my goofy tucked in shirt...it's the only way to keep it from flying up when I jump
I'm sure you can tell who's the better, more flexible jumper...Me obviously. Right guys? Right? Well, I'm working on it. These twenty year old legs aren't as flexible as they used to be. Gimme a break. She takes dance classes, I was at a clear disadvantage.
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend as much as we are. 'Til next time, happy jumping!

To send or not to send, that is the question...
Well Hello there. Sam here.
You know, I've been thinking a lot lately about letters. Not letters as in A,B,C, but letters as in the kind that people used to write to each other before we created this thing called e-mail. I miss letters. E-mail is all well and good, but there's nothing like opening your mailbox and finding a hand-written letter that someone has taken the time to write for you. It doesn't matter if their handwritting is sloppy or they've written in perfect caligraphy, a letter is a letter is a letter, and I love them all, regardless of length or sloppiness. There's something incredibly personal about writing out your letters rather than typing them in an e-mail and I think that's where some of the allure lies. You can see how this person was feeling in the letter, whether they wrote fast or slow, whether they pushed down with their pen too hard or not quite hard enough. There might be coffee or ink stains on the paper or creased edges and I love that about letters because of what it can say about the author, and who they're writing to.
Being the introvert that I am, I find that I am much better at getting my thoughts out on paper rather than speaking them aloud, so letters are one of my favorite mediums. Sadly, I haven't written or recieved an ACTUAL hand-written letter in quite a while. I want to fix this, so I'm going to start writing letters again. Whether I actually send these letters or not, I'm not sure yet, but just being able to write them to the people I love and have my feelings out on paper will do wonders for my sanity. That's what I'm hoping anyway, so here goes nothing. This year I vow to write letters to anyone and everyone.
Recently, I've taken up the habit of sticking notes in my library books before I return them so that the next person who reads the book will find a little surprise message inside. I like to think that whoever recieves the note will continue the chain and write a note of their own to whoever has the book next. It makes me happy to think of all these little notes floating around between strangers. Like we're connected somehow through the pages of a book and the ink stains on our fingers. I encourage all of you who love the library as much as I do to try and write notes of your own, it's a lot of fun. And who knows, maybe we'll find each others notes someday. I'd like that.
As well as regular letters, I also enjoy a good postcard, so much so that I've decided to start collecting them. So far my collection is only one postcard strong, but it's from London so I think that should count for something, right? One London postcard equals at least three ordinary postcards. You heard it here first. I hope to get more postcards soon from various European locales. (Joe, I'm looking at you. Amsterdam postcard? Heh, heh? Pretty please!) Until then I will content myself with writing letters to those I care about. Maybe I'll send them, maybe I won't. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But I think the importance isn't in the sending, it's in the writing itself and being able to express yourself in anyway you can. These letters will be my way of telling the people I love just how much they mean to me, even if I can't actually tell them in person or they never get to read what I write. I'll know how I feel and hopefully someday they'll know too. Until then I'll just keeping writing letters and I hope you do the same.
Until next time.
Love and Chaos,
Sam
